FIRST SNOW OF THE YEAR BLANKETS AREA
LAKEHURST - The first snowfall of 2007 came and went quickly on Monday, greeting area residents as they woke in the morning and all but melting away entirely by the end of the day. The icy snow blanketed the region, but while a warm Martin Luther King Day whittled away at the buildup, the cold temperatures and a chance for snow for the rest of the week meant that our snow days are just beginning.
