Truck Accident Proves Fatal; Teenage Pedestrians Struck In Unrelated Accidents
MANCHESTER- On January 10, at 6:39 a.m. three dump trucks collided on County Route 539, in the area of mile marker 23 in Manchester Township.
Nester Siguenza, 29, of Newark, was operating a 2003 Mack dump truck, traveling southbound on county Route 539. The truck was owned by ABV Transport Inc. from Belleville. Siguenza was pronounced dead at the scene.
Raudel Zarragoitia, 27, of Perth Amboy, was operating a 1998 Kenworth dump truck, traveling north on county Route 539. The truck was owned by Michel Trucking LLC from Hopelawn. Zarragoitia was transported to Community Medical Center, Toms River.
Wagner Sibaja, 34, of Sayreville, was operating a 2002 Peterbuilt dump truck, traveling north on county Route 539. The truck was owned by Michel Trucking LLC from Hopelawn. Sibaja was transported to Community Medical Center, Toms River.
County Route 539 in both directions had to be detoured.
Assisting at the scene were, Whiting Fire Dept., Quality Medical Transport, MONOC Paramedics, NJSP, NJDEP, JCP&L, Ocean County CIU and Ocean County Prosecutors Office.
This crash is under investigation by Ptl. Douglas Higgins of the Manchester Township Police Traffic Safety Section.

Teens Struck In Separate Accidents
On January 12 at 6:45 a.m., a 14-year-old male Manchester Township High School student was struck by a vehicle on State Highway 37 in the west bound lane, near Savannah Road.
The vehicle, a 1999 Hyundai Accent, was being operated by Joseph M. Rossman, 21, from Toms River. He was traveling west on State Highway 37 in the slow lane.
The student had apparently missed his designated school bus pick up time, and was crossing the road in an area he was not permitted to, so he could catch another bus. The student was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune to be treated for injuries sustained when he was struck by the vehicle. He was listed in stable condition later that afternoon, with multiple fractures and lacerations.
Assisting at the scene were members of the Manchester Township volunteer First Aid squad and paramedics from MONOC.
At this point, there are no charges pending against the driver of the Hyundai. This crash is being investigated by patrolman Antonio Ellis and patrolman Thomas O'Hare of the Manchester Township traffic safety unit.
In another accident on January 26, at 4 p.m., a 15-year-old female Manchester Township High School student was struck by a vehicle on South Colonial Drive, near the Conrail railroad tracks.
The vehicle was a 1998 Dodge Durango, color green. It was being operated by Jennifer Shepherd, of Lakehurst.
Shepherd was traveling south on South Colonial Drive prior to the railroad tracks. The student was walking with friends down the tracks from the Summit Park development towards Lakehurst. The student ran across the road as the Dodge was approaching, according to witnesses at the scene.
The student was taken to Paul Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood to be treated for injuries sustained when she was struck by the vehicle. She was listed in stable condition later that evening, with complaints of head, knee and hip pain, in addition to some skin abrasions.
Assisting at the scene were members of the Manchester Township Volunteer First Aid Squad and Paramedics from MONOC.
At this point there are no charges pending against the driver of the Dodge. This crash is under investigation by Patrolman Patrick Morgan and Patrolman Antonio Ellis of the Manchester Township Traffic Safety Unity.
