| OCEAN COUNTY - Mayors and Ocean County officials joined in delivering meals on wheels to the elderly in an effort to raise awareness about the importance of the Ocean County Meals On Wheels Program and the value of the volunteers that deliver the more than 1,000 meals daily. Since 1973, the Ocean County Board of Freeholders has supported Community Services, Inc., a local non-profit organization whose mission is to provide nutrition and support services to the elderly to assist them in living as independently as possible in their own homes. For the second year, the agency has sponsored the Mayor For Meals Day program. This year, it was joined by Investors Savings Bank as a sponsor.
