Fressola Elected To Executive Board Of League Of Municipalities
OCEAN COUNTY- On November 16, New Jersey's mayors elected Michael Fressola, mayor of Manchester Township in Ocean County, to serve on the executive board of the New Jersey State League of Municipalities.
As a member of the league's executive board, Mayor Fressola will help lead the association of New Jersey's 566 municipal governments. Mayor Fressola will represent the interests and needs of New Jersey's local elected officials to county, state and federal governments.
The New Jersey State League of Municipalities is a voluntary association created to help communities do a better job of self governing. All 566 mayors and 13,000 elected and appointed officials of member municipalities are entitled to all the services and privileges of the league.
He became the chairman of the Manchester Township Planning Board in 1990, town councilmember in 1992 and was elected mayor in 1998. He has been married to his wife Irene for 57 years.
