Whiting History Club To Host Meeting
WHITING - The February 6 meeting of the Whiting History Club will feature the Constitution of the United States of America. The Constitution is the bulwark on which rests all our rights, regulations and the laws that we live under. We will discuss some of the features of the Constitution, such as the Bill of Rights, and some of the history of past writings dating back to the Magna Carta of the year 1215 A.D. The Declaration of Independence was discussed at the November meeting of the Whiting History Club, and the February 6 meeting will close the series on government.
The Whiting History Club meets the first Wednesday of the month at 2 p.m., through the courtesy of Crestwood Manor on Lacey Road, Whiting. Residents of the area are invited to attend these meetings at their first floor auditorium. Additional parking may be found by turning right to the parking area. In case of bad weather, the meetings may be cancelled. Call John A. Yohannan at 732-849- 0678 for further information.
