Souper Bowl Offers Soup-Tasting For Charity
MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP - Sodexho Food Services will sponsor The Souper Bowl, a soup-tasting event and competition that will benefit the National Kidney Foundation on February 1 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Manchester Township High School.
Jeff Hanaway, food services manager for Manchester Township schools, said the event is designed to be a friendly competition among about a dozen local school district food service departments that will be participating. Patrons at the event will be able to sample each district's soup and vote on their favorite. Water, crackers and bread will be available to accompany the soups and there will be live entertainment and door prizes. Soups will also be sold to go.
Admission is $6, with $1 off for a donation of a non-perishable food item for the local food bank. For more information, call 732-408-2540.
