We Demand A Constitutional Convention

We must stop penalizing the homeowners of New Jersey and change the way schools are funded.

We must have a constitutional convention and allow the citizens of New Jersey to voice their ideas on how to save on school funding and to fairly distribute the burden of school taxes to all New Jersey citizens, not just the homeowners. Our seniors, who have worked hard to pay off their homes, are now finding they cannot afford the taxes. Many times, they have found their mortgage payments were much less than their tax payments.

We need and demand a constitutional convention to alleviate the burden on homeowners. How many seniors have to lose their homes due to this unfair taxation before we change this school funding? Walter H. Rumpf, Berkeley
