EARL JABAY

Earl Jabay, born March 30, 1925, in Lansing, IL, to William and Jennie Jabay, died January 11 at Crestwood Manor, Manchester. He was a Purple Heart veteran of WWII, wounded in the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium. He was a graduate of Calvin College and Calvin Theological Seminary, "M. Div." in Grand Rapids, Mich. He served as a pastor in Muskegon, Mich., Passaic and Raritan. He was the mental hospital chaplain at NJ Neuro-Psychiatric Institute in Princeton for 28 years, and was the clinical training supervisor at Princeton Theological Seminary and the New Brunswick Seminary.

He was the beloved husband of Audrey Wigle Jabay; father of Margaret Beach of Ithaca, NY and Jane May of Louisville, KY; and step-father of Louise Palagyi of Cranbury; Paul Barwis of Loveland, CO; Charles Barwis of New York City; Gregory Barwis of Churchville, PA; and Dr. John Barwis of Holland, Mich. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 13 greatgrandchildren.
