DR. ROBERT ARMENTO
Dental Office Provides Comfort And Trust To Ocean County Patients
By Lauren Puglisi

(from right to left) Marian Payne, Dr. Robert Armento and Joyce Pollen have been successfully working together for many years and promise to offer patients the best and most honest dental care.
For over 30 years, Dr. Robert Armento has been providing dental care to most of the widely populated northern and central New Jersey residential areas. With previous professional offices in Newark, Nutley, West Caldwell, Roselle Park and East Brunswick, Dr. Armento has recently decided to rent a practice space in Toms River.

Dr. Armento is extremely qualified in what he does, he has attended some of the most prestigious university's in the region, including Georgetown University, New Jersey Dental and Farleigh Dickinson University. After graduating, Dr. Robert Armento joined the Army. After spending two years in Germany, serving his country, Dr. Armento then opened his first practice in Essex County.

About 10 years ago, after previously deciding to retire, Dr. Armento made the decision to continue working and to open an office closer to the area where he had always owned a summer home, in Ocean County.

Dr. Armento's dental office is located at 1380 Hooper Avenue in Toms River.
"For the short amount of time that we have been in this current location, we have accumulated a large number of new patients," Dr. Armento said. "We have a good clientele base here. The kids that come to see me are very well-mannered. It is fantastic!"

Dr. Armento's orthodontic office is open on Tuesdays and Fridays, which allows for him to remain active within the community during his extra free time. With the help of his loyal and long-standing staff of two, Marian Payne and Joyce Pollen, they have joined together to run the Toms River office to the highest and best standards as they feel is possible.

"Dr. Armento treats both adults and children in a very easy going way," Marian Payne, who has been working with Dr. Armento since the start of his career, said. "We try to keep our fees and cover charges low and affordable to each differing client's budget."

The main difference that is noticed at Dr. Armento's dental office, in comparison to others throughout the community, is the genuine willingness to always accommodate patients. By having a system where payment arrangements are made on an individual basis, patients feel comfortable with the services that Dr. Armento offers.

Dr. Armento's Toms River office is such a small family operated business that Marian admits to sometimes even bringing patient charts home to finish her work when busy days have ended. She even offers her personal cell phone number to patients to use during the result of any dental emergency. It is also unique that patients whom find themselves late for an appointment at Dr. Armento's office usually never have to worry about being charged a late fee or losing their appointment.

"If a patient calls us and is running behind, rather than canceling their appointment, we just tell them to take their time and try our best to accommodate them upon their arrival," Joyce Pollen explained.

Marian says that Dr. Armento is really good at what he does and if there is ever a time when a person comes into his office that does not need treatment, he tells them no action should take place. At this office, patients seem to be drawn to the honest and helpful atmosphere that is always offered to them upon stepping foot in the door.

Where many offices in the area seem to overreach when trying to attract new clientele with contests and special offers, Dr. Armento's is one that seems to have no catch or hidden agenda. The office is best described as a light and easy practice that tries its best to offer patients the best dental services along with the most visibly accommodating atmosphere in the area.

Dr. Armento has a very large family; along with his own children, he has five young grandkids, which has given him much experience in becoming used to taking care of children. Dr. Armento always brings his personal warmth in caring for his patients.

"Dr. Armento treats his young clients as if they were one of his own, with their best health interest as a number one priority," Marian said.

As Dr. Armento's career has already proven to be long and successful, the future for the Toms River office will eventually be sold to another dentist following his retirement. With four successful children, two of which are practicing dentists, one that is a junior in dental school and one that is a law clerk, the possibility of having the office stay within the family could eventually be an option.

As of now, Dr. Armento plans on continuing with the growth and success of his current Toms River office. He is always taking new patients, so there should be no hesitation to stop in his office on 1380 Hooper Avenue in Toms River during regular business hours on either Tuesday or Friday anytime from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Prospective clients should also feel free to call Marian directly with any dental questions or advice at 732-473-1115.
