MONOC To Provide Child Safety Seat Inspection Site
MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP - MONOC and Manchester Police Traffic Safety Unit are teaming up to prevent injuries. They are establishing a permanent child safety seat inspection/education site at the Ridgeway Fire Department on Route 571. This program is funded by the New Jersey Department of Highway Traffic Safety and other generous supporters like the emergency room physicians (JEMS) at CMC.
This free program will be held on the first Wednesday of every month at the Ridgeway Fire Department, located at 2848 Ridgeway Road in Manchester. The program will run from 4 to 8 p.m. Parents will participate and be shown how to safely and properly install and maintain their children's safety seats.
Appointments can be made, but are not required. Participants wishing to make an appointment to avoid possible wait times can call the Manchester Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit at 732-657-2009 extension 2143 or MONOC at 800-287-3515 extension 1107.
This site is in addition to several other permanent fitting stations MONOC has established throughout Monmouth and Ocean counties. All inspections and education are free of charge and provided by certified child passenger safety technicians.
