Taxes Look Good In Manchester
I feel that I must respond to the false and misleading statements made by candidates running for Manchester Township Council. The distorted tax record presented by these people is obviously designed to persuade people in an election, but voters should not be persuaded by misstatements that are simply not true.
The simple facts are that I have been a Manchester resident at Leisure Knoll for 22 years. I have reviewed my tax bills since 1994. The real facts are that the difference in my 1994 tax bills from my 2007 tax bill was only $132. The $132 increase, divided by 13 years, equals $10.15 over a 13- year period. I do not think that any other town, city or borough in the state of New Jersey can claim to have this type of tax record. It is nothing short of miraculous in day and age when the state of New Jersey continues to take away aid from municipalities, and there is a natural increase in expenditures and inflation that all of us face in everyday life.
Simply put, I ask voters to look at the real facts and the real record and misleading information put out by people who seek to gain political officeby improper means.
