Ocean County 4-H Congratulates Members

TOMS RIVER - The Ocean County 4-H program congratulates the following members for completing their yearly presentation requirement during the 2008 4-H Presentation Nights in Toms River on either April 4 or 18 at Ocean County's Rutgers Cooperative Extension Center. Yearly, 4-H members are required to complete presentations during club meetings, the yearly contest at libraries or during the Ocean County Fair. Members either do a demonstration, illustrated talk, formal speech or a dramatic presentation.

From Long Beach Island are Sean and Michael Moran, members of the Celtic Family Club. From Jackson is Alexa Forman, a member of the Cross Street Riders. From Manahawkin are Nathan and Amie Hegyes, members of the Puppy Power Club. From Point Pleasant is Kay Bros of Natural Wonders and Ashley Grant, Molly Hoffmaster, Andrew and Emma Ferrie, Alison Herrington who are all members of Noah's Ark Pet Pals. From Forked River are Amanda Archambault and Jessica Raisner of Horse Cents, Nicole Fenton and Sarah Schwec from D.O.G. 4-H Club. From Bayville is Dacry Rose Ricotta of Hare Club. From Toms River is Brittany Wolf of D.O.G., Stephanie Douranakis, Ellen Bissey, Tracy Mandrona and Erica Longfieldof Paddock Pals 4-H Club and from Manchester are Cara and Kendal Parliament of the Hare Club of Whiting.

Members which received high honors have the opportunity to continue at the State 4-H Presentation Day, which is held at Rutgers in June. Congratulations to the following members for earning this honor. They are Amanda Arcambault, Kay Bros, Ashley Grant, Stephanie Douranakis, Andrew Ferrie, Emma Ferrie, Nathan Hegyes, Amie Hegyes, Alexa Forman and Brittany Wolf. Stephanie Douranakis also participated in the State 4-H Equine Presentations on April 23 at Rutgers in New Brunswick.

The 4-H Youth Development Program is part of Rutgers New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station Cooperative Extension. 4-H educational programs are offered to all youth, grades K-12, on an age-appropriate basis, without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation or disability.
