Freeholders Honor Cultural And Heritage Commission Retiree
 | | OCEAN COUNTY - Freeholder Deputy Director John C. Bartlett Jr., Ocean County's history freeholder, extended the freeholder board's best wishes to Cynthia Smith who was feted by the Ocean County Historical Society upon her retirement after 16 years of service as administrator of the Ocean County Cultural and Heritage Commission. During her tenure, among other activities, Smith coordinated the anniversary re-enactment of the Toms River Blockhouse attack, advocated for the county's purchase of the Cedar of Bridge Tavern and instituted the publication of "Out and About," a comprehensive listing of the county's cultural and historical events. |
