Counseling And Referral Services Of Ocean Announces Name Change
OCEAN COUNTY - Recently, Counseling and Referral Services of Ocean Inc. officially became Seashore Family Services of New Jersey (SFSNJ). SFS will continue to be the premier agency, providing professional family counseling, chemical dependency prevention, assessments and referrals in Ocean and southern Monmouth counties.
"Our name has evolved as our focus has evolved," said Roberto Flecha, MBA, LCADC, CCS, executive director of SFSNJ. First established as Brick Outreach and Toms River Outreach centers in April 1977, SFSNJ has enjoyed a longstanding reputation as the best provider of services in the area. "Our experience has taught us that there is an ongoing need for diverse and innovative services that can help families and individuals who suffer from various problems, including alcohol and drug-related issues," added Mr. Flecha. "The name change and new brand reinforces our commitment to continue to provide excellent services to our neighbors in Monmouth and Ocean counties."
SFSNJ's programs are focused on ensuring successful results. The agency provides the best outcome for sustained and ongoing recovery because it believes that drug and alcohol addictions are treatable and that lasting recovery is a reality.
SFSNJ fully expects that sobriety and positive change will result at the end of proper treatment. All of the staff is committed to the success of their clients. SFSNJ's primary offerings include a family and individual counseling services program, substance abuse, transitional housing, gambling counseling and services for businesses.
In addition to a new name and a new logo, the Seashore Family Services of New Jersey has launched a new Web site (www.sfsnj.org) that has been designed to make the organization's extensive body of work more accessible to the communities it serves. SFSNJ offers services in the Brick and Toms River areas. New brochures have also been developed and are available for download on the Web site.
