Ocean County Library To Present Special Author Program

TOMS RIVER - The Ocean County Library will present an evening that is sure to lift your spirit and feed your soul with a special author program on October 3, 7 p.m. at Mancini Hall.

Michele Andrea Bowen, best-selling author of "Church Folk," "Second Sunday" and "Holy Ghost Corner" and Victoria Christopher Murray, author of "To Little Too Late," "Blessed Assurances," "A Sin and a Shame" and 2006 winner of the Phyllis Wheatley Award for excellence in contemporary fiction, will lead a discussion about the African- American Christian fiction genre and the rich traditions of the African-American church. The evening will conclude with gospel music, praise dancing, a soul food sampling and a book signing by each of the authors. Books will be available for purchase.
